Who is Fraser Coast Mates?

Fraser Coast Mates was formed in 2018 by a group of local business people who were concerned by the rise of debilitating mental health issues and rising suicide rates across our region.


We are a local organisation on the Fraser Coast that aims to build local awareness and grow conversations about mental wellbeing by bridging the gap between those suffering and the local support services available and ultimately making progress for suicide prevention.


Our number one goal is to encourage mates to be better equipped to help their mates and colleagues in times of struggle by telling local stories, helping mates gain clarity around what services are available locally and coordinating community events.
